cessfully manipulated their self-exploration and the trainees offered significantly lower levels of facilitative conditions of empathy, regard, gen~neness, concreteness and self-disclosure when the client lowered his self-exploration. While experience was not a significant source of effect, clinical trainees in general did offer significantly higher levels of conditions than non-clinical trainees. Findings were extended and implications considered.
