A PVC membrane electrode for copper ion based on 1,3-dithiane,2-(4-methoxy phenyl) as ionophore and o-nitrophenyl octyl ether as a plasticizer is demonstrated. The electrode exhibits a Nernstian slope of 29.5Β±1 mV per decade in a linear range of 3.0 Γ— 10 -6 to 5.0 Γ— 10 -2 M for Cu 2+ ion. The detect
