LATINFOODS a branch of INFOODS was reorganized during the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations/Sociedad Latinoamericana de Nutritie (Society of Latin American Nutrition) (FAO/SLAN)/LATINFOODS Symposium in Guatemala, November 1997. The new structure has three committees, 19 national branches and three subregional centers. The purpose is to promote better integration among all the groups involved in Food Composition in the Latin American countries.
Committees:
* Executive, integrated by a President, a Vice-President and three Regional Representatives from: Mexico and the Caribbean, Central America and Panama, and South America.
* Consultative, integrated by well-known personalities related to the "eld of nutrition and food composition.
