The physics goals and expected sensitivities of MINOS for ν µ disappearance and ν e appearance are briefly discussed, as well as the latest atmospheric neutrino results based on 418 days of exposure of the MINOS far detector. The latter exclude the null oscillations hypothesis at the 98% confidence
