✦ Synopsis
A high-resolution laser excitation spectrum of the 0: band of OcS+ (A zIII, c, w 2II,) has been obtained in a dscbarge flow apparatus. Rotational analysis yields the constants (cm-') of *aO*2C32St: voo = 31404.099(7), BA(;) = 0.18718(13), B;(s) = 0.19477(9).

The initial rate of oxidation of ttans-butene-2, 2-methylbutene-2, and 2,3dimethylbutene-2, increases with the number of methyl groups adjacent to the carbon-carbon double bond, suggesting that there is increasing facility of hydrogen atom abstraction from the methyl groups. On the other hand, the m
Disproportionation/combination rate constant ratios, k , / k , , have been measured for the collision between CF3CH2CH2 and CF3 radicals to be 0.022 ? 0 002 and for CF3CH2CH2 and CF3CH2CH2 radicals to be 0.100 IT 0.002. Comparison to previous work from this laboratory for the reaction of CF3CH2CHCI
Alkyl and alkylperoxy radicals originating from dimethyl ether have been studied in the gas phase at 296 K. A pulse radiolysis-UV absorption technique was used. Absorption cross-sections were quantified over the wavelength range 220-350 nm. At 230 nm, O'cH3oclJ2 = (4.2 + 0.5)× 10 -18 cm 2 molecule-l
