✦ Synopsis

Lasers composed of a gain medium between two microparticles acting as Mie scatterers ha¨e been dealt with. Under conditions met, e.g., in strongly pumped dyes or semiconductors containing at least two subwa¨elength particles differing in refracti¨e index from the matrix, laser radiation e¨ol¨es at the mode frequencies of the respecti¨e resonator. Threshold, output power, slope efficiency, and linewidth ha¨e been calculated.
