โฆ Synopsis
Suwnary A procedure for large scale purification of human lymphoblastoid (Namalva) interferon (IFN) is presented. The procedure includes concentration by ultrafiltration, gel filtration on Sephadex G-75 and affinity chromatography on anti-INF antibody (polyclonal or monoclonal columns. The IFN specific activity is increased rom 1 x 10 units/mg protein,
in the crude solution, to 2 x 107 and 2 x 10 is i units/mg protein, in the purified preparations obtained after polyclonal or monoclonal antibody columns, respectively.
The overall recovery of IFN in the procedure described is 50-55%.
