Large-effecti¨e-area fibers are essential for high-capacity and long-distance links. We report a large-effecti¨e-area dispersionflattened fiber design that pro¨ides, o¨er the wa¨elength range of 1.48 m --1.58 m, an effecti¨e area of 75᎐100 m 2 , a mode-field diameter of 9.56᎐10.92 m, and a chromatic dispersion less than 0.7 ps r nm km.
