✦ Synopsis

A 21-year-old woman was operated laparoscopically for peritonitis due to penetrating perinephric abscess (PNA). Following correct diagnosis and drainage, a definitive treatment was carried out to drain the intrarenal abscess laparoscopically.

Although not the preferred approach, when diagnosed during exploratory laparoscopy for peritonitis, PNA can be successfully treated laparoscopically.
