Complexes of lanthanide(III) chlorides, thio-cyan&es, nitrates and perchlorates with three cyclic polyethers containing five or six oxygen atoms in the cycle and two bicyclic macromolecules containing five or six oxygen and two nitrogen atoms in the cycles have been prepared and characterized. Possible arrangements around the cation are proposed on the ground of conductivity measurements, vibrational and electronic spectra.
