✦ Synopsis

In this article the prospect of nanotechnology development is analyzed. Nanotechnology development from science to industry is suggested. The reason for the high stability of Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) technology against external influences is due to the 'dead zone' under every layer of deposition. LB technology seems to be a technique for producing objects for nanotechnology. The results of conductive film modification by electric pulses from the STM tip are illustrated. The possibility of creating defects with sizes up to 5 nm is shown. The prospect of conductive and dielectric LB film applications as materials for nanoelement modulation is considered.
