A novel bisnortriterpenoid, lancifodilactone A, has been isolated from the leaves and stems of Schisandra lancifolia. Its structure and stereochemistry were determined primarily from 1D and 2D NMR spectroscopic data, and were confirmed by a single crystal X-ray analysis.
