โฆ Synopsis
An approximate solution for the problem of determining the laminar natural convection heat transfer between a vertical flat surface and a fluid whose rheological behavior is characterized by Ellis' model is found using an integral method. The results are in reasonable agreement with available experimental data. The choice of the rheologieal model to be used in describing and correlating natural convection phenomena in non-Newtonian fluids is discussed.
