It was well-known within the ton Lady Brittany�s first love is books and learning of far off lands. This happened to be one of the reasons Samuel, Earl of Brockworth, was intrigued by the young lady.

With Christmas fast approaching it�s recommended to retire to the Bemming estate with the book to protect it. There, with help from her best friend the importance of the book slowly comes to light. While this is happening, Samuel continues to secure Brittany�s heart.
Until she learns of his true reason in wishing to study the book. With her heart and mind in turmoil Brittany goes for a ride to sort through her feelings when disaster strikes.
Rescued, she chooses not to wait until Christmas morn but decides to make the ball one the ton would ever forget.
