✦ Synopsis

Abstraet--SAXS and WAXS investigations of ladder-type styrene-multimethacrylate copolymers were carried out. It was found that the copolymers are amorphous two-phase systems composed of spherical microdomains and a continuous matrix, The radius of the microdomains and the thickness of the transition between microdomain and surrounding medium were calculated. Increase in temperature of the copolymer results in the gradual disappearance of microdomains and transition to a single-phase structure.
