โœฆ Synopsis

The rates of tungsten(VI) catalyzed perborate oxidation of 29 para-, meta-and ortho-substituted anilines in aqueous acetic acid at 35-55ะŠC conform to the Exner relationship, also the activation parameters to the isokinetic relationship but not to any of the linear free energy relationships. The results are rationalized.

Tungsten(VI) catalyzes perborate oxidation of S-phenylmercaptoacetic acid. The catalyzed oxidation is first order with respect to the oxidant, independent of [H ฯฉ ], and displays Michaelis-Menten dependence on [PhSCH 2 COOH] and [W(VI)]. The reaction requires time for equilibration between the oxida

Kinetics of Ru(III) catalyzed oxidation of phenyl styryl ketone (PSK) and its substituted analogues by V(V) has been investigated in aqueous acetic acid-sulphuric acid medium in the temperature range 298-313 K. First-order dependence each on [V(V)], [PSK], and [Ru(III)] was observed. Inverse first-o
