Coagulation testing is the basis for the diagnosis of bleeding and thrombotic disorders, as well as the mainstay of anti-coagulant monitoring and management. Christopher M. Lehman, M.D., is an Associate Professor of Pathology, University of Utah Health Sciences Center and the Assistant Director of Hospital Clinical Laboratories, ARUP, Inc., Salt Lake City, Utah.
