Qu'ont en commun la culture sami en Norvège, le vélo comme instrument de libération des femmes au Ghana et le sort des milliers de sangliers qui envahissent les rues de Berlin ? Ces questions, et d'autres, sont au cœur des préoccupations qui animent Claire, Ariane et Isa, trois sœurs, des jeunes femmes toutes aussi nomades et curieuses l'une que l'autre.

Chacune à sa façon, elles prennent place dans le monde, interrogeant bien sûr l'amour, la famille, la carrière, mais aussi et surtout elles inscrivent leur parcours dans un univers de plus en plus marqué par la cohabitation des races et la variété des cultures, par des questions de justice sociale et d'écologie. Interpelées, elles prennent part aux débats et défendent avec vivacité les causes qui leur tiennent à cœur.

Dans la veine autofictionnelle qui traverse l'ensemble de son œuvre, Marguerite Andersen a façonné les trois destins en s'inspirant de la vie de ses six petites-filles.
