✦ Synopsis

Año 1580. El rey de Portugal muere sin descendencia y el trono vacante se lo disputan sus sobrinos Antonio de Avis y Felipe II de España. El rápido triunfo de este último en la Península traslada el conflicto a las islas Azores. Francia e Inglaterra, celosas de una unión dinástica que pondría bajo una sola corona un inmenso imperio, apoyan al pretendiente portugués y llevan la guerra de corso a todos los rincones del océano.

Un inexperto y presuntuoso oficial que zarpa de Veracruz y pretende cruzar el Atlántico para casarse por conveniencia, una pareja de enamorados que verá peligrar sus esperanzas, dos familias divididas por sus lealtades, un corsario que ambiciona ganar una flota, soldados de fortuna, espías de todas las naciones, contrabandistas y sanguinarios piratas son los protagonistas de esta novela. Sus destinos se entrecruzan sobre el tablero de un conflicto que amenaza con cambiar el mundo conocido. Con ellos viviremos aventuras corsarias, historias de amor, viles traiciones y feroces combates.

La corona del mar es una trepidante novela de aventuras que nos lleva desde el golfo de México y los puertos del Caribe hasta las islas Azores, verdadera puerta de ultramar, escala obligada de las flotas del oro y llave para la hegemonía del Atlántico, donde tendrá lugar la primera gran batalla naval de la era moderna.
