✦ Synopsis

The paper describes the main program and the functions of six subroutines. The main program uses the subroutines to evaluate overaU tray efficiency and tower limitations in terms of limiting condenser, reboiler and vapour loading. The main program can also calculate the distribution of components in the distillate and residue and for making an overall heat balance around the tower. A general flowchart for short-cut distillation calculations is #oven.
