Abstract
The Kondo effect in a system consisting of a QD coupled to non‐magnetic or ferromagnetic electrodes is studied theoretically in the framework of the non‐equilibrium Green function formalism. Variation of the Kondo anomaly in differential conductance with the correlation parameter U is analyzed in detail. Splitting of the Kondo peak in an external magnetic field and/or due to an effective exchange field created by ferromagnetic electrodes is also discussed. (© 2006 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co.
