A fluorogenic substrate of neuraminidase, 4-methylumbelliferone N-acetylneuraminic acid ketoside (MUN), was synthesized. K, values were obtained for Clostridium perfringens neuraminidase and strains of A-and B-type influenza neuraminidase from chicken red blood cell influenza virus eluates.
