Absolute rate coefficients for the reaction of OH with HCl (k,) have been measured as a function of temperature over the range 240-1055 K. OH was produced by flash photolysis of HzO at A > 165 nm, 266 nm laser photolysis of O3/HZO mixtures, or 266 nm laser photolysis of HzOZ. OH was monitored by tim

β¦ Synopsis
The rate constant of the reaction OH + HCI+ Hz0 + Cl was measured in a flow tube over the temperature range 224 to 460Β°K using resonance fluorescence detection of OH. An Arrheaius expression ki = (2.0 f 0.1) X lo-'* exp [ -(620 f 20 cal/mole)/RT] ws obtained. Stratospheric and reaction kinetic implications are discussed briefly.

The absolute rate constant for the OH + HCI reaction has been measured from 240 to 295 K utilizing the techniques of laser/flash photolysis-resonance fluorescence. The HCl concentrations were monitored continuously by ultraviloet and infrared spectrophotometry. The results can be fit to the followin
The rate coefficients for the reactions of OH with ethane ( k l ) , propane (kz), n-butane (k3), iso-butane (k4), and n-pentane ( k 5 ) have been measured over the temperature range 212-380 Kusing the pulsed photolysislaser induced fluorescence (PP-LIF) technique. The 298 Kvalues are (2.43 2 0.20) X
## Abstract The kinetics and mechanism of the following reactions have been studied in the temperature range 230β360 K and at total pressure of 1 Torr of helium, using the dischargeβflow mass spectrometric method: 1a: 1b: The following Arrhenius expression for the total rate constant was obtaine
The kinetics of OH reactions with 1-4 carbon aliphatic thiols have been investigated over the temperature range 252-430 K. OH radicals were produced by flash photolysis of water vapor at h > 165 nm and detected by time-resolved resonance fluorescence spectroscopy. All thiols investigated react with
