✦ Synopsis

Dissoliition rates of t h e (1 1 1 ) face of potassium aluin crystals h a w kwen measrirecl in situ in a flow cell. Dependence of t h e mass dissolution fluxes on t h e sii1)saturation a t i t 1 on t h e presence of Fe++ cations has been studied. No influence of these cations ovcr t h e concentration range 0 -165 ppin on t h e dissolution kinetics has been observed. I n addition, t h e dissolution process has been found to be of a purely diffusive character.

## Abstract The growth and dissolution kinetics of potassium sulfate was studied based on single crystal measurements. The growth rate is correlated to the supersaturation with power low equation. At all the temperatures studied, the growth rate order lies in the range of 1‐1.5 with the surface int
