β¦ Synopsis
When a coating made of epoxy resin is in contact with toluene at room temperature, a matter transport may take place, with approximately linear kinetics. The process of this matter transfer is described by considering the diffusion of the liquid within the coating with concentration-dependent diffusivity. The concentration of the liquid on the coating surface increases with time by following an exponential law. A numerical model with finite differences is capable of describing the kinetics of absorption, following these two assumptions.

Polyurethane (PU) foams are made of small cells, regular in shape, which result from the presence of a gas acting as a blowing agent during its formation (carbon dioxide or fluorocarbon). When the PU foam is in contact with water, a matter transfer is observed, water diffusing into the foam. The pre
The cure kinetics of four epoxy/amine systems including commercial RTM6 and F934 resins have been investigated under both isothermal and dynamic curing conditions. Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) was the thermoanalytical technique used to determine the cure kinetics of these resin systems. T
