Six analogues and derivatives (1-6) of 3-phenylhydrazonopentane-2,4-dione (7) were subjected to gas-phase thermolysis. The Arrhenius log A and Ea (kJ ) of the Οͺ1 Οͺ1 (s ) mol analogues (1-5) are, respectively: 10.42 and 140.8 for 1-cyano-1-phenyl-hydrazonopropanone (1), 11.19 and 135.4 for 1-cyano-1

β¦ Synopsis
The kinetics of the reaction of pentane-2,4-dione (HA) with Zr IV has been studied at 25.0 β’ C in an excess lactate (L -) media. The equilibrium reaction was found to be:
The equilibrium was approached from either direction and a plausible mechanism has been proposed with kinetic constants, but individual reactivities of the keto and the enol tautomers of pentane-2,4-dione could not be apportioned. However, it was found that both the uncatalyzed and acid-catalyzed paths contribute to the reverse reaction. But 2-thenoyltrifluoroacetone (HT) forms a stronger chelate with Zr IV , so its reaction with less reactive Zr 2 L 5 (OH 2 ) + 2 could not be detected; reactivity of the more reactive Zr 2 L 5 (OH 2 )(OH) could be found.

Rate constants for the reaction of 1-chloro-2,3-epoxypropane with p-cresol in the presence of basic catalysts were studied at the temperature range of 71 -100Β°C. It was found that in the presence of sodium p-cresolate, three consecutive reactions proceeded giving the following products: 1-chloro-3-
## Abstract Photooxidation of 4βnitrophenol (4βNP) in water by the UV/H~2~O~2~ advanced oxidation process was carried out in order to investigate the kinetics and pathway of 4βNP degradation. The experimental results showed that the photodegradation of 4βNP accorded well with pseudoβfirst order kin
