โฆ Synopsis
The formation of CA 2 in the molar mix of CA and A occurs by diffusion of A into the CA matrix. The reaction is phase boundarycontrolled. The activation energy for CA,~ formation in the temperature range of 1350-1450 C is 33.40 Kcal mole "1. The activation ~'ree energy and activation entropy is found to be 83.26 Kcal mole "1 and 29.80 cal mole "1 K "1. Tl~e coefficients of interdiffusion have been calculated and the temperature dependence of diffusion coefficients obeys the relationship D = 49.562 x 10 -6 (-28 400 , ~ cm 2 sec-1
