✦ Synopsis
The temperature dependence of the rate coefficients for the OH radical reactions with iso-propyl acetate (k 1 ), iso-butyl acetate (k 2 ), sec-butyl acetate (k 3 ), and tert-butyl acetate (k 4 ) have been determined over the temperature range 253-372 K. The Arrhenius expressions obtained are:
were as follows: iso-propyl acetate ( ); iso-butyl acetate Ϫ 12 3 Ϫ 1 Ϫ 1 10 cm molecule s 3.77 Ϯ 0.29 ( ) ;sec-butyl acetate ( ); and tert-butyl acetate ( ). Our results 6.33 Ϯ 0.52 6.04 Ϯ 0.58 0.56 Ϯ 0.05 are compared with the previous determinations and discussed in terms of structure-activity relationships.

Using relative rate methods, rate constants for the gas-phase reactions of OH radicals and Cl atoms with di-n-propyl ether, di-n-propyl ether-d 14 , di-n-butyl ether and di-nbutyl ether-d 18 have been measured at 296 Ϯ 2 K and atmospheric pressure of air. The rate constants obtained (in cm 3 molecul
