The transport of electrons in boron-rich solids is strongly impeded by capture processes in intrinsic traps. For -rhombohedral boron it was shown that these traps are generated by the interaction between electrons and specific intraicosahedral phonons. The phonons involved are quenched, when the tra

We have studied collective properties of the unstable 88 Kr and 92 Kr nuclei using Coulomb excitation in inverse kinematics at the REX-ISOLDE facility at CERN. We present preliminary results for both nuclei and give a short discussion in the framework of valence mirror symmetry.
