Tempted to do business in Southeast Asia (SEA)? Many SEA countries offer very attractive
incentivesβ€”in addition to a low‐cost, high‐quality labor force. They also allow 100 percent
foreign ownership, tax holidays, and capital allowances. But there are important differences compared to developed
countries. Government agencies and corporations play a different role, and business decisions may not be made in
the way you expect. What must you know to avoid potential problems? Where are the best opportunities?
