Library and Archives. He also worked as Library Information Officer for a few years. Despite a stammer, he coped surprisingly well in jobs that depended on communicating with customers; one co-worker remembers him as a great colleague and a very likeable man.

Keith was responsible for providing a major component of our monthly Weather log for almost thirty years. He provided the daily synoptic charts, upper-air maps and erstwhile radiosonde sounding data, only ceasing this time-consuming job with the switch to electronically produced charts in 2003. He redrew all the charts on to a standard base map in a form that made them legible when reduced in Weather -an extremely skilled process. When the switch to electronic charts was being trialled it took several years before products of the clarity and ease of use of Keith's were available. The Society recognised Keith's contribution by awarding him the Outstanding Service Award and life membership in 2007.
