SC Barva is a leader of the smalltonnage chemicals production in the Ukraine

Barva (Ivano-Frankovsk region, Ukraine) is one of the large chemical and petrochemical enterprises of the Ukraine. It specialises in the production of surface-active substances, chemical-additives for rubber and polymer materials and high temperature heat carriers.

Henkel to acquire Yugoslav firm

A โ‚ฌ14 M bid from Henkel to obtain a 70% stake in Yugoslavian soaps and detergents producer DP Merima has been approved by Yugoslavia's privatization agency. Henkel was the only bidder. Henkel is to invest โ‚ฌ100 M in Merima over the next 10 years. Henkel had a 13% rise in 2Q operating profits to โ‚ฌ168 M, on sales up 3% to โ‚ฌ2.5 bn.
