The KB emission spectra of chromium in oxidic compounds were investigated by means of the fluorescent method. The origin of the main KB lines is discussed using MO theory and the dependence of the energy positions on the chemical bond is reported. The compounds studied include the oxides Cr,09 Cr02

Abstract
The extended fine structure of Kβabsorption edge of copper in its oxides is studied using a 40 cm curved crystal spectrograph. The observed shift of Kβedges of copper in the oxides is better explained with MO and SRO theories. Separations apparent between the absorption minima corresponding to copper and oxygen atoms in the lattices of two oxides support the MO viewpoints.
