β¦ Synopsis
With Julia, programmers no longer have to make tradeoffs. They can have
high performance, ease of use and high productivity all in one language. In
the last few years, it has become apparent that Julia also excels at software
engineering. One of the most dramatic examples is probably the Julia
implementation of Apache Arrow which managed to achieve more
functionality in 5,000 lines of Julia code than 300,000 lines of C++ code.
This is a testament to Julia's excellent ability to reuse and combine existing
code.
