Leonid Andreiév (1871-1919), autor que havia muito tempo estava ausente das livrarias brasileiras, aparece agora com seis contos, em uma edição traduzida do russo. Andreiév foi um opositor de primeira hora da revolução comunista – estava exilado na Finlândia quando cometeu suicídio. Sua obra revela aquele pessimismo de que só os russos são capazes.
