This submission should also include a statement from the student's supervisor, or institution, confirming the status of the candidate as being either a current PhD student or within 12 months of graduating. The supervisor can be a co-author of the paper.
The Journal of Forecasting seeks to make a methodological contribution to the field of forecasting research through the development of theories, procedures, comparative research or detailed case-study applications. The range of feasible disciplines is unconstrained and can range from the behavioural sciences through statistics, econometrics, management to A1 and computer sciences. Applications which have featured in the journal also range broadly from energy, environment to economics, business and finance. Within this broad range of applications and research protocols, the journal seeks to provide generalizable insights into forecasting process and methodology.
