Captain Jeffrey Fuller's last mission forced him to sacrifice the lives of good men in order to secure a victory, a tactical decision he fears may have ended his career. Now an opportunity for redemption has come that will pit Fuller against his former Cold War adversaries. Russia, officially neutral, is clandestinely supplying the Axis powers with advanced weapons technology, and the former superpower must be punished. Fuller's mission is clear: navigate his fast attack nuclear submarine, USS Challenger, through the mine-strewn and sub-patrolled waters between Alaska and Siberia, sneak a team of commandos into Russia, and launch a nuclear missile ... against his own country!
