Spirax-Sarco has appointed Mark Vernon to the newly established position of chief operating officer (COO) reporting to the chief executive, Marcus Steel. Vernon will be responsible for the day to day delivery of the group's operating results and the operating management of the Spirax Sarco and Watson-Marlow Bredel businesses will report to him. He will relocate to the UK as a result of this appointment and will continue with his existing responsibilities.
