✦ Synopsis

Resonances due to level-crossings when the Zeeman interactions in two radical pairs become equal to the average electron exchange interaction as the magnetic field is increased are reported from studies in static fields, in MARY experiments, and from rotating fields in RYDMR B, experiments. The assignment of these low-field features to exchange effects is confirmed from observations made on changing the relative permittivities of the solutions. The systems studied were created by flash photolysis of pyrene in the presence of dimethylaniline and, separately, of the three isomers of dicyanobenzene.
