โฆ Synopsis
The electrochemical behaviour and the optical properties of commercial indium oxide (ITO) electrodes were investigated in view of their use as counter-electrode in a variable light transmission electrochromic device. The IT0 electrodes showed good stability to repeated cyclic voltammetries (CV) in LiClO,-propylenecarbonate (PC) and are colourless in both the reduced and the neutral forms.
An electrochromic device using poly-3-methylthiophene (pMeT) as electrochromic electrode and IT0 as optically passive counter-electrode was assembled and its performance in LiClO,-PC investigated.
