✦ Synopsis

An exact expression is given for the Bloch wall stiffness constant in a ferromagnet which is well-adapted to discussing the effects of percolation and localization in disordered systems. It is shown to reproduce a well-known result for the dilute Heisenberg model and it is applied to the disordered Hubbard model. An attempt is made to relate this work to recent theoretical work on the metal-insulator transition in disordered interacting-electron systems.
