✦ Synopsis
hlolecuhu-beam laser spectroscopy is applied to measure the rotational and vibrational fine structure of the transition A 0+-X ' X+ of Pb' 6O for different lead isotopes. The analysis, including all known microwave measurements of the electronic ground state, yields precise vibrational and rotational molecular parameters for the electronic states A and X, and distinguishes between the isotopic field shift and the mass shit of the electronic transition energy. The field shit is about nine times larger than the mass shift, which confirms similar results for PbS.
