Path integral Monte Carlo calculations have been used to investigate the isotope effect on the "melting" of small clusters of para-hydrogen Q-H\*) and ortho-deuterium (o-D2). While clusters of (o.D~)~ with N= 13 and 55 exhibit a quantum-lipid+quantum-solid "freezing" transition in a temperature regi

β¦ Synopsis
Some of the important combustion properties of deuterium such as flammability limits, laminar burning velocities, and detonation cell widths have been determined experimentally. The experiments provide a basis for evaluating the properties of deuterium-air or deuterium-oxygen-diluent mixtures from the known combustion properties of hydrogen, using simple correlations.

The static and transient fluorescence spectroscopy of 3-hydroxyflavone, 3HF, has been investigated as a function of deuteration of the 3-hydroxy group and the solvent. Small H/D isotope effects are observed for at least two of the simple rate constants for the excited-state dynamics. The isotope eff
