## Abstract A compound C~5~H~14~ON~2~ has been isolated as its dihydrochloride from both ferrioxamine B and ferrimycin A, by acid hydrolysis. It was identified as l‐amino‐5‐hydroxylamino‐pentane (II), and this structure confirmed by synthesis.
