## Abstract Human herpesvirus 7 (HHVβ7) was isolated frequently from saliva specimens. The isolation rates were 81% (13/16) in adults, 70% (7/10) in children over 1 year old, and none (0/7) in children less than 1 year old, respectively, indicating that infection of HHVβ7 occurs during early infanc

Abstract
A viral isolate obtained from peripheral blood lymphocytes of an infant with a nonspecific febrile syndrome was identified as human herpesβvirus 7 (HHVβ7) on the basis of PCR analysis of its DMA with one set of primers specific for HHVβ7. The correlation of HHVβ7 with the febrile episode affecting the infant is suggested. Β© 1995 WileyβLiss, Inc.

## Abstract Group A rotavirus (GAR) G8P[1] strains, found sometimes in cattle, have been reported rarely from humans. Therefore, analysis of the full genomes of human G8P[1] strains are of significance in the context of studies on interspecies transmission of rotaviruses. However, to date, only par
## Abstract We obtained 7,566 peripheral blood mononuclear cell (PBMC) samples from 2,332 individuals and screened them for human herpesvirus infection. We identified five individuals who persistently harbored high copy numbers of human herpesvirus 6 (HHVβ6) DNA in their PBMCs. HHVβ6 DNA was also d
