TRK 4-phenyl coumarins mammeisin (I)' and -e&gin (II)' have been reported in the rind and seed-oil respectively of M.ammsa americana L. Continuing our investigation of the fresh seeds ve have isolated three nev 4-phenyl coumarins, mammea A/M, colourless needles q .p. 12.5-126' (III), mammea A/AR, yellow needles m.p. 107-108Β° (IV), pyrrmsa A/BBS colourless needles m.p. 124-125' (VI, together with wmneisin (A/M), yellow needles, and mwmneigin (A/A cycle D), yellov needles.* Ths three new coumarins are isomeric with mammea A/AA, C H 0 (accurate mass
