Abstract

The structure of a radiation‐protective sulfated polysaccharide, SP‐APS, isolated from Spirulina platensis, was investigated by methylation analysis, partial acetolysis and ^1^H‐NMR spectroscopy. The repeating‐unit of SP‐APS as branched structures was elucidated.
