Indolactam I. a new congener of indole alkaloid tumor promoter teleocidins, was isolated from S treptoverticillium blastmyceticum, and was shown to be biosynthesized from N-methyl-L-isoleucyl-L-tryptophanol. (-)-Indolactam V,t.2) an active fragment of indole alkaloid tumor promoter teleocidins.3)
