โœฆ Synopsis

Two different compounds were simultaneously adsorbed on a silver colloid. and Raman spectra were taken. One. which does not fulfi rhe resonance condition (in solution). showed the usual large (SERS) enhancement_ The orher compound. which cm solution) absorbs the light used. showed no net enhancement compared to the first. The extent of surface electric field amplification is discussed.

The charge transfer (CT) contribution to surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) and surface-enhanced resonance Raman scattering (SERRS) was compared for several dyes adsorbed at silver and gold electrodes. It was found that the CT effect is more pronounced for dyes that in solution are not in reso

Rhodamine 6G (R6G) was incubated in silver sols with different low concentrations and its surface-enhanced resonance Raman scattering (SERRS) spectra, excited by linearly and circularly polarized light, respectively, were studied. At the single-molecule level the SERRS spectra were recorded in 10 ร€1
