โœฆ Synopsis

Abstract

During the past several years, evidence has accumulated suggesting a relationship between newly born cells in the hippocampus and various types of learning and memory. However, most of the evidence is correlational and some of it does not agree. This review discusses both sides of this issue, considering the effects of learning on the production of new neurons in the dentate gyrus and the question of whether newly born cells participate in learning and memory. ยฉ 2006 Wileyโ€Liss, Inc.

## Abstract In the course of adult hippocampal neurogenesis, new cells go through a series of stages associated with proliferative activity. The most highly proliferative cell type is an intermediate precursor cell, called typeโ€2 cell. We here report that on the level of typeโ€2 cells a transition t

## Abstract Cancer of the oral cavity accounts for almost 56,000 new cases in India each year totalling almost 30% of all cancer cases in the country. Despite the numerous advances in etiology and epidemiology, the mechanisms involved in oral carcinogenesis remain obscure. Current research has prov
